Biography:
Ms. Looby joined the firm as an associate, following her graduation from the Valparaiso University School of Law in May of 2010. During law school, Ms. Looby was a legal writing teaching assistant, a research assistant for the Valparaiso University Law Library, represented clients in the school’s criminal defense clinic, and served as Editor-in-Chief of The Forum. She was a recipient of the National Order of Scribes Award for excellence in legal writing and received the highest class grade in both her Pretrial Skills and Trial Practice classes. Ms. Looby also was awarded a Pro Bono Commendation for her unpaid legal volunteer work performed throughout law school.
Her prior legal work experience includes volunteering as a law clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office-Gang Crimes Unit, a judicial externship with the Honorable John R. Pera of Lake County, Indiana, and over a year of experience clerking for another Chicago-based insurance defense firm.
